I've been to Denmark!

I know, how exciting - an overseas holiday at this time of year? No, not that Denmark, the one that is here right in WA, in the south.
We went away as a family unit for 3 days over the Australia Day long weekend.
What a lovely time we had, swimming at Light's Beach (a little piece of paradise), boating on Wilson's Inlet, shopping, bush walking, eating out and finally a delicious lunch at the Lakehouse Winery.
Best of all it's back to school today for my little angels - yippeee! I do so love the first day of school and getting some me time.

Mission 11

Yep, I have missed a couple of Missions but I will be doing those during the week.
Mission 11 was to make a card or two using a journaling block/bingo card and it also had to include a sticker or rub on.
Here are my cards - a masculine birthday card and a feminine thank you card.

Mission 8

I thought this would be a doddle. I thought to myself, I can complete a mission a day - that is so easy. I was wrong but since I'm terrible at completing things (generally) I really am going to see this challenge through.
I was a bit stumped by Mission 8 - to use my stamps but using the sketch and inchies. It took a few "test runs" but after a bit of inspirational research I came up with this layout. I'm not saying it's amazing or anything but it's about something that's important to me and something I wanted to remember. I'm pleased with it and that's all that matters.

Mission 6 and 7

It's taken a few days to get back into creating again but I am determined to complete the challenges set on Scrapzbiz.com
Today I have Mission 6 (use scissors or a kraft knife to cut out your own embellishments) and Mission 7 (use your punches to create the main feature on a layout or card).
My Mission 6 layout - Little Miss Sunshine was created using an old photo of Sophie (she's only 18months old in the is pic) and old papers (Sassafrass Lass) that I have been hording for years.
I have cut out lots of little pics from other Sassafrass papers that I have also been hording for a while. That was one of my all time favourite scrap papers designs.

Mission 7 is a card - a little card just to say hello. I only have one flower punch (as seen here) a cicle punch (which I used on Mission 4) and a corner punch. Seeing asI was fairly limited in punches I thought I would stick to creating something small - a card.

Mission 5

Yipee, I've done another LO.
Mission 5 required a LO completely made of scraps and had to include a banner.
Yay, I love banners but always buy ready made ones. To get things started on the LO I decided to make the banner and work from there but once I started cutting I couldn't stop and the idea of covering my page in banners was born.
I love these photos from mid last year of my kids in a tree at our local park. As I've briefly conveyed in the journaling, the kids didn't find it to hard to get up with a bit of climbing and wriggling up the tree but they were quite high up and getting down required a lot of help from me. Good thing I brought the camera!

Mission 4 Scrapzbiz Biggest Loser

Back for Mission 4 - use Sheree's sketch and must use 4pp's.

I'm not a 100% sure about it but I am challenging myself to complete all challenges on the Biggest Loser Challenge. Ha, ha, ha.
So I'm just going to move on and be pleased with myself for finally scrapping these pics - they're from 2009. That was the last time we went to the Show. So expensive and noisy.

Mission 3

Edited to add that I have since changed the date of the second layout (Christmas) to 2011. Sophie pointed out the mistake. My clever girl.

The Mission 3 challenge is to scraplift yourself and use at least 5 pp.
I had just the layout. I really like using lots of paper and had created this layout last year trying to use up pp strips that I have accumulated of the years in addition to other bits and pieces. It sure is a busy layout (a little OTT I guess) but I quite like it. .

This is the entry for Mission 3. Each year for the last 3 years we have made a gingerbread house and decorated it ourselves for xmas. This year my parents came to visit so we made two houses and Sophie and I teamed up while Ben teamed up with his nana.
I haven't done a layout about Ben's house yet but here's a snap. How proud is he?!!!

Mission 2

Mission 2 of the Biggest Loser is to create a layout based on the sketch by Nati.
This is layout is of Sophie in her nerd glasses which are in actual fact a pair of 3D glasses we got at the cinema last time we saw a 3D movie. Sophie got the idea from her BFF. All you have to do is pop out the lenses and nerd glasses are created.
I think she looks cute. She hasn't been brave enough to wear them out and about but she loves to wear them around the house. Her favourite part is pushing them up the bridge of her cute little nose by either pressing in the middle of the glasses or pushing on the side - she loves that bit. She is only 10 mind.

Scrapzbiz - Mission One

Hi, I'm back and straight back into creating after what felt like a long break.
I am going to try and complete as many missions as I can in the new comp on Scrapzbiz.com called Biggest Loser 2012.
So far I have created this layout based on the sketch for Mission 1.
Unfortunately I cannot for the life of me work out how to reduce my layout small enough for the the Scrapzbiz gallery without losing clarity.
Here's my layout for those that want a better look and also to say happy birthday to the man I love.
